The best of the series take the Toy Story Sage to another level. All the characters are matured with the same feeling of wimsy that the other movies had. The adventure of this movie is epic for a chiild's movie.

Sploich Reviews Toy Story 3 (2010)

In 1995, Pixar released the first fully computer animated feature film ever made: Toy Story. They followed this up with what I consider a very weak sequel in 1999 with Toy Story 2. For more than a decade people anxiously waited for a third installment in the series and in 2010 it was finally flown down to us in a solid gold movie projector covered in awesome. Yes folks, it was worth the wait.

Toy Story 3 follows its predecessor almost as long after as the gap between the two films in real life as we see a grown-up Andy on his way off to college. Only a select few of his childhood toys are left in his collection, and they are running out of time and strength as they don't know what is to become of them. After a bit of a misunderstanding, the toys are donated to a local daycare center wh...

The toy box is empty...

The toy box is now empty. But what a way to go. In the week movie year of 2010. It's so bad that I've basically refused to see anything that's been released so far, this one stands out as the best of the bunch, so far. Yes, they set it up for a 4th one, that I hope they don't make, because this was the perfect ending for the series. It's a film about that time in life that I remember quite fondly, that time in life that society says you must put your toys down and start doing "grown-up things." I, too decided to that it was too hard to part with my stuff and put them away in my parents' shed, which I'm now slowly starting to get back now that I have a place of my own. But, this is a must see, a tear jerker that will pull at the heart strings of children and adults alike.

Still Got a Friend in Me

In a year of disappointing films, Toy Story 3 finally delivers - it has heart, it has a clever story and, for a film aimed at kids, has a lot of character.

Unlike Shrek Goes Fourth, this doesn't feel like a cash-in sequel. Toy Story 3 simply feels right - the little boy from the first film is all grown up and ready for college - his toys long forgotten in his toy box. But Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the crew aren't ready to throw in the towel yet. However, all their plans come to an unintended conclusion when they wind donated to a day care.

Here is where this film shines - the new characters never seem out of place. The strawberry-smelling dictator, Lotso - played with perfection by Ned Beatty, along with Ken, a free-wheeling Michael Keaton, fit right in with everyone else....

I feel that the movie definitely deserves to be in the top 100, but 6th does seem a bit strange. It's definitely one of my favorite Pixar films to date, and I can't wait to see the trilogy again.

I find it hard to believe that Toy Story 3 is already ranked the 6th best movie of all time. IMDB's rating system must be seriously flawed (not that this is a bad movie but come on - 6th!...and ahead of Toy Story 2?)

As much as I hate to admit it, I think Twilight will probably be the biggest money maker of the summer. The summer lineup this year isn't extremely impressive, but there are a few I'm waiting to see.. I can't wait for The Expendables..

Not sure what the box office predictions look like but do you think this will be the biggest movie of the summer?
