Blindspotting  Add to movie list
Rating of: 3/4

Open Your Eyes

Blindspotting is a very contemporary film that touches on a lot of real, raw subjects but keeps things grounded by approaching the subjects through the eyes of Collin (Daveed Diggs), who is just coming off a two-month prison stint and is nearly done with his probation period. With just three days left to go, his world is thrown into turmoil when he witnesses and unprovoked police shooting by Officer Molina (Ethan Embry).

The world of Blindspotting takes place in Oakland, California and surro...

Incredibles 2 Is Simply Super

It's not always the case, but often the longer the wait between sequels, the more likely it is the second film will disappoint. I'm happy to say that The Incredibles 2 not only bucks this trend, it gives me hope for the future of all long-awaited sequels. Brad Bird's original animated take on the super-hero genre was fresh, fun and had as much heart as it did action - combining memorable characters, solid story and humor. Incredibles 2 picks up right where the first film left off - and Bird doe...

An uninspired and mediocre dystopian teen movie

This is not about politics.
It’s about your children.
This is about our children.
We will find a cure and we'll save our precious sons and daughters.

If you want to form a sentence with the words “monotony”, “mediocrity”, “clichéd sameness” and “corny”, you can do that without any problems along with the movie title “The Darkest Minds“. Well, I’m getting sick of the concept of dystopian teen films. Even though they mixed it this time with a kind of “X-men” mood. Apart from some crackling ...

This flick fell short of its mark.

The virus has laid dormant in us since the beginning of time.
And the extremes of modern stress have caused it to awaken.
We’re all, in essence, Patient Zero.

There you are! Another zombie movie. And also one where they tried to use something unique, in order to give it an original look. Now, to be honest, I found the idea they’ve used to be highly amusing. An infected person who’s still functioning normally is being used to gather information. And the interview technique used was also...

Higher Learning of the Damned

Down a Dark Hall features a pretty outstanding cast of young actresses. Both AnnaSophia Robb and Isabelle Fuhrman have excelled in several roles - from heartfelt to horror to huge blockbusters. You have Uma Thurman, no stranger to challenging roles and some exiting newcomers in Victoria Moroles and Taylor Russell. Combined, this mostly female-driven cast (still a rarity among films - let alone thrillers) is the best part about the film.

The story starts off solid - troubled young woman Kit (...

Mandy - Review

"You are a vicious snowflake"

How do you even review something like this?

This really is not for everyone and that is just fine. The plot isn't anything special, but it's the experience that matters, good or bad. Chainsaws, 80's revenge, and Cage. The whole movie is a drug trip with the climax being the overdose. The trippy visuals and colors are just outstanding and really stick out.

It's one of Cage's best work in years and also one of his best freak outs, as you're not sur...

Can someone explain why the masked man did it?

Daddy can see us…when he gets here.
But he’s already here.

Do you fancy a movie along the lines of “Hush” but with people who aren’t mute? In short, a film in which there’s a lot of screaming. And should there be co-stars who are simply mown down with a wicked-looking ax as in every “Friday the 13th” episode? Then “He’s out there” might be something for you. However, if you are someone who expects a little explanation about why someone is terrorizing a family, then I’ll have to disappoi...

Watch out. You could fall asleep.

Whatever you do, do NOT sleep!

Having problems falling asleep at night? Are you tossing and turning in bed all night? Or are frightening nightmares disturbing your well-deserved sleep? Well, in that case, I advise you not to watch “Mara“, because it could possibly get worse. Now, I myself have absolutely no problems with that and always enjoy a carefree night’s sleep. To be honest this film won’t be the cause of me lying awake in bed while staring frightened at the ceiling. In itself it wasn...

Paris once looked more lively.

The hardest part is…
not knowing what’s happened to them.

If there’s one horror genre that pops up ad nauseam, it’s that of zombies. Not a month goes by without a release in which undeath feast on innocent non-infected fellow humans. Since the cult film “Night of the Living Dead” by George A. Romero, a countless number of zombie flicks have already been made. Every once in a while they try to give it an original twist to make it more comical or profound. So that for once the emphasis isn’t ...

Ant-Man and the Wasp - Review

“You can do it. You can do anything. You're the world's greatest grandma”

‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ returns in full size form. So, after all the chaos and heartbreak with ‘Infinity War’, Marvel have stepped on the breaks and went back for a safe comedic tone. Basically being it’s own side story in this already big universe.

I enjoyed the first ‘Ant-Man’. Not great by any means and just like everyone else would have loved to see Edgar Wright's version. Reeking of re-writes and a clash of peop...
